I had not seen Jennifer Berezan before this festival, and I was very impressed with her music. Jennifer is from Calgary, and now lives in Berkeley. Her album Refuge was released in Fall, 1997.

This group, Jennifer, Nina, Anthony, Jami, and Don, are touring in promotion of the Refuge album.

Jami is an accomplished cellist with her own album of rich cello sounds: Lush Mechanique. She has toured and recorded with Ferron.

Nina is simply the best guitarist in the folk world today. She makes it look so easy. Nina accompanied many musicians during this festival, often with no rehearsal.

I don't know why Don benedictson, an accomplished fretless bass player does not capitalize the "b" in his last name, but for someone as talented as this, I will be glad to accomodate.
